WHERE THE FUTURE

COMES ALIVE

SciTech Scity is a community of  entrepreneurs, scientists, students, and other tech-forward people and organizations working together to create a better future for all.

LEARN. WORK. LIVE.
PLAY. CONNECT.

LEARN

Liberty Science Center High School is a public magnet STEM academy that will be built by the Hudson County Improvement Authority and operated by the Hudson County Schools of Technology. The school will offer programs in Earth (Sustainable Engineering and Climate Science), Life (Biological Sciences), and Space (Astrophysics) to 400 students in grades 9 - 12 from across Hudson County. LSC will arrange for the students to have intensive mentorships and work experiences at Edge Works, LSC, and elsewhere in Jersey City.

WORK

Edge Works is the eight-story business creation hub of SciTech Scity consisting of the Co-Creation Center, a 40,000-SF state-of-the-art conference center and tech exhibition gallery, and The Works, 60,000 SF of research and development labs, workspaces, and co-working areas for start-ups and early stage companies plus innovation outposts (skunkworks suites, product showcases, consumer testing labs, and offices) for established companies and institutions.

LIVE

Scholars Village is residential housing being developed by Alpine Residential for individuals and families who desire to be a part of the SciTech Scity community and test important new high-tech products in their homes before the rest of the world.

PLAY

SciTech Scity is already home to Liberty Science Center, the largest interactive science center in the NY/NJ metro area. LSC features the biggest and best planetarium and digital theater in the Western Hemisphere.

The Public Commons will be three acres of outdoor activations and community programming that encourage exploration, creativity, collaboration, and innovation. A hardscape events plaza comparable in size to the skating rink and outdoor area at Rockefeller Center will feature night-sky viewing parties, maker fairs, farmers markets, participatory science experiments, hackathons, art projects, concerts, and food-truck festivals.
